It jumps drivers out of cars speeding – ABC News

Google and Volvo have them already, and now also Hyundai threw themselves on self-directed wave. In a publicity stunt they put their new driver support system to the test. See the video.

– You consumers are hard to impress. The only way we can do that is by putting your life at stake, says stunt driver Buddy Joe at the start of the advertising film.

high speed on a highway in California opens the five drivers car doors – and skip on a truck. The cars continue to run by itself – but what happens when they have stopped short

See the video at the top of the case.

car called police

Technical driver support, also known as ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) , is designed to help the driver as much as possible in the actual execution, as well as minimizing the risk of traffic accidents. This may include blind spot warning, automatic parking and traffic sign recognition.

Such technology is already prevalent in newer cars. Earlier this year there was a driverless BMW in smoke, at Drammen, who rolled off and contact the police even after it crashed through a fence.

Available during the decade

Justin Rattner, outgoing chief technology department at Intel, a U.S. manufacturer of microprocessors, claims that driverless cars will be available to the average car owner during the next decade.

And it is certainly not one has to wait for so long. Already in May, the Google test runs of the autonomous vehicle for select audiences.

The driverless car is still in the prototype stage, but I think that it can go into production as early as 2017.

Here you can see Google’s driverless bilstunt:
