Easy file sharing and storage online is popular, particularly consumer-oriented services that work across different devices. It seems clear that it thus is room and need for such services tailored to the business market.
Several Norwegian companies have already embraced the trend, such as Jottacloud. Introducing online backup company OBC (The Online Backup Company) new file sharing service, File Cloud.
– When we master storage and security, it is a good platform to add on new services. File sharing is our first strategic new initiatives since its inception. We strongly believe that sharing should be as big for us as online backup, says Alexander Hagerup, entrepreneur and strategy and development manager of the OBC in a statement.
All data is stored in Norway in two data centers, high security and full redundancy. The data centers are protected against power failure with redundant power from several districts and private decks.

File Cloud creates a separate, encrypted area on the local disk. - Remote wipe data if your computer is stolen or lost.
Each user is assigned a unique serial number that can be used to remotely wipe files if the device is lost. An additional feature also allows the user to track devices in Google Maps. - Synchronization of data between multiple devices and users.
Changes are synchronized each time you log on, including any file posted by others. - access from PC, Mac or mobile devices via browser or app
File Cloud own clients for Android, iOS, Windows Phone and BlackBerry. On the Desktop, File Cloud integrates into Windows Explorer or Mac Finder. - Sharing folders and files.
Users can share files and folders, with or without password protection. Users can also give permission for others to upload new files and modify existing files. - Version control and recovery of files.
OBC’s core business is after all the backup, and the company has included a re-creation function in the File Cloud. This means that previous versions of a file can be accessed via a dedicated portal if you delete or otherwise messed to a file. - All data is backed up and stored in the data center in Norway.
