PALO ALTO (AP) Two Norwegians behind a concept that challenges the temporary staff recruitment and staffing company in the world.
The company is called Konsus and connects freelancers from all over the world with customers who have tasks they need to solve. The service is according to market researcher Mats Mark one of Silicon Valley’s fastest growing start-up companies with nearly 600 small and large companies as customers.
Konsus was started last August and had a growth of 10 percent a week ago the time.
– We are the future employment agency. Or more precisely, we are the future platform to connect the right task to the right person. We think the world of work is about tasks and projects, and not about the roles and titles, says founder Fredrik Thomassen (29) VG.
New employment agency solution

– We solve such tasks as all enterprises in Norway and the world do every single day. As to create a simple website, power point presentations, to enter data in an excel sheet, produce marketing materials, or collect contact details and other information on the Internet, continues Thomassen.
VG hit the former McKinsey consultant in Palo Alto with partner Sondre Rasch (29), who has a past as political advisor for the Conservatives in Parliament. The two met during their studies at the Norwegian School of Bergen 9 years ago.
Konsus is a virtual company and has no fixed costly premises or bureaucratic processes. Besides the two founders have Konsus three employees.

the idea came as a result of their own experiences of using freelancers online both in Norway and abroad.
– We have used freelancers online for over 10 years and it takes an incredibly long time to find good people . And you ultimately get is totally uncertain. We knew what was needed to get this to work and when you find some good, then continue to work with them. What we have done is just to do it like we did it to ourselves. We find some good people and keep them, says Rasch told VG.
Customers are mainly from the United States and Norway, but also from Denmark, Sweden, Germany and the UK. Among Norwegian customers are the leading event- and communications company Gyro. They believe the business sector has a greater need for problem solving than to staff a static position.
– A task can be composed, and then it’s nice that a project manager in Konsus can recoup more freelancers to a proper team for the thesis. They are also available around the clock on a chat service with less than 15 minute response time, makes the service unique, says producer Gyro Petter Henriksen told VG.
Enquiries from freelancers who want to become part of Konsus its network is great. To be approved, must go through two different tests. A cognitive test and a specific test Konsus has developed itself.

– On the way we ensure that customers get a good product, says Thomassen adding:
– Freelancers rates too. The advantage of our rating is that the client does not speak directly with a freelancer. When running with an Uber-person so you get a social thing that makes you become kinder because you do not want to take all his livelihood. For one knows how much rating has to say. While with us then gives the customer a rating to Konsus as a brand. And then the rating honest.
How do they earn money
The business model is simple. Depending on whether you have business package or not the customer pays 19 or 29 dollars an hour. Of these runs $ 15 to freelancers. The rest goes to Konsus. Half of freelancers come from Eastern Europe and Russia. The rest from countries such as Vietnam, Philippines and India.
A doller is now approximately 8.2 million.
– Freelance Fighters get insanely well paid to be on the Internet, says Thomassen who working for some time in Indonesia. Where was the average salary for a graphic artist 1.5-2 dollar. Our goal is to make the best solution for connecting workers in low-paid areas with businesses in highly paid area, says Thomassen.

Gro Eirin Dyrnes, director of Innovation Norway in San Francisco, believes the Norwegian values has been crucial for Konsus its success.
– I think a lot of why they have succeeded so far is that they follow their values, work hard and purposefully, are open to learning and have a positive attitude. It’s great to witness how proud they are of being Norwegian and how well they represent Norway here, although it is not part of our business concept, says Dyrnes.
