Cars that go fully or partly on electricity, is the new big. Most automakers have realized it. Get betting, however, more than Mercedes.
They are on an electric offensive and invest over 65 billion Norwegian kroner in green technology over the next two years. The main focus is rechargeable hybrids.
That’s good news for us in Norway. Here, the tax system very beneficial for this type of cars, and sales of these increases every year.
On an enclosed booth in Stuttgart presented the Mercedes the new generation Smart electric drivetrain and Mercedes-Benz GLC F-CELL . GLC has already become a hit in Norway, not least the rechargeable. But here we are talking the first production hydrogen car with plug-in technology.
One of the main Biltrend right now
Diesel and gasoline
– The journey toward a greener every day starts to rationalize and optimize our internal combustion engines. The new generation of diesel engines received its premiere with new E-Class 220 d, while gasoline engines with particulate filter will make its appearance in 2017.
– Equally exciting is that 48-volt power supply will be introduced on same time and at the home generators are part of the standard equipment. It will enable fuel savings previously reserved for high-voltage hybrid technology, says Christoffer Nøkleby, Director of Communications Mercedes-Benz Norway.

the entire model range are rechargeable
the next step in the journey involves hybridization of the entire model range which already today is the most comprehensive on the market – with a total of 13 models.
Rechargeable hybrids offer in many ways customers the best of both worlds; the ability to run fully electric on shorter trips, while the internal combustion engine prevents range anxiety, says Mercedes in a press release.
In Norway offers Mercedes today C 350 E (sedan and wagon), GLC 350 e, GLE 500 e and S 500 e.
These will be joined by GLC 350 e Coupé and e 350 e shortly. In 2017 presented the next generation of plug-in hybrid technology in connection with the upgrade of the S-Class that get an electric range of over 50 km (NEDC).

new generation cars
In Paris also debuts Mercedes-Benz GLC F-CELL Plug-in fuel cell technology. The advantages are obvious: long range, short refueling and H2O as the only emission.
The engineers at Mercedes have gone along with their partners in Daimler’s network to develop a new, compact fuel cell system for the first time fit in a regular engine.
This enables a new generation of cars that will be launched from 2017 onwards.

500 km with zero emissions
GLC F-CELL also has another innovation in the form of a large lithium-ion battery with a capacity of around 9 kWh. The battery acts as an additional energy source for the electric motor and can be recharged remotely using plug-in technology.
With the combination of fuel cells, battery systems and intelligent operation can GLC F-CELL achieve an emission range throughout 500 km (NEDC).
it is also the same range Mercedes expects to achieve the pure battery operation with its next electric car that will be presented at the Paris Motor Show in September 2016.
Daimler AG, best known as the producer behind Mercedes, also city car Smart in its portfolio, though the two operating completely individually. Daimler was the first major manufacturer to offer a mass-produced electric vehicle in 2007 and now stands fourth generation for the tour.
Smart Fortwo, Forfour and Convertible get all electric drive and debuts at the Paris Motor Show in September. They launched in Norway early in 2017.
