Lawsuit against Odd Nerdrum exposed - AP

The new treatment of the criminal case against Odd Nerdrum is postponed indefinitely because the artist is sick.

After the Supreme Court overturned the conviction of Nerdrum, should his case to new treatment Court of High Court Monday 26 August. Nerdrum Originally providing a medical certificate that was rejected, but Friday the court accepted a new declaration.

– There is no question of any new development of the disease, but the new policy was more detailed and gave a better description, says Nerdrum lawyer Pål Berg NTB. He did not want to say what is wrong with Nerdrum.

It was set five days of the trial, and yet it is not set a new start date for the case.

The Court ruled in last summer Nerdrum to two years and ten months’ imprisonment for having kept around 14 million from the IRS. Later Dagbladet documentation showing that it probably paid tax on the money, but it may have happened at the wrong time and in the wrong country.

Supreme Court held conviction of the artist was badly reasoned and lifted it. In the new case is appointed judges with financial literacy.
