Mobile game has taken Norway by storm. Share your tips on “pokéstops” and “pokégyms”.

One must almost have lived under a rock to not have missed it. Cartoon monsters Pokémon has in recent weeks taken the step from being retro childhood memories for those who grew up in the nineties to become one of the biggest mobile game successes ever.

The concept has become so popular that it affects community in several ways. Doctor Guards around the country are reporting “Pokémon-related injuries” such that one has trampled over or passed on something because you’re so busy chasing digital monsters on your mobile screen. A google search for “Pokemon + emergency” yields over 18,000 results.

Nevertheless, one can say that the game, which is GPS-based and requires that you take the legs hold and physically move around in the real world to find digital monsters, resources you need or so-called “Pokégyms”, has done much positive for public health. With so much popularity, especially among gaming excited youngsters who might otherwise have spent time in front of a computer screen, it certainly has been walked or run of thousands of kilometers extra so far this summer.

If we are going out and go to the dog be an advantage to have knowledge of where there is high density of “pokéstops” and “pokégyms”, and here comes our Pokémon go-kart into play. The map is valid for the whole of Norway, so you can fine use it both at home and traveling to unknown Poké-waters.

It’s easy to add new points on the map; click on “Submit pokestop / gym”, place the cursor where you found a stop or gym, and add a little text.
