The coveted post of chief of Directorate for Civil Protection and Emergency Planning (DSB) is vacant, and 11 men and a woman have sought the position.
Most surprising is that Anne Rygh Pedersen, director of fire and rescue in the DSB, not stands on list of applicants.
Rygh Pedersen has previously been chief of police, and State Secretary in the Ministry of Justice of Labor. Dagbladet has not been able to get in touch with Rygh Pedersen. She has been considered favorite for the job after she in 2012 went from his position as chief of police in Telemark to director position.
From central sources in the government gets Dagbladet nevertheless stated that Rygh Pedersen enough would not have been present government first to the position of director of the DSB.
