National and municipal treasurer offices have the job of collecting the tax in day. In addition performs the employer control and drift into payment delays. The Government will move these tasks to the state.

Centralization to the Tax Directorate and large offices will save into 497 FTEs net and around 370 million annually, according to Finance Ministry estimates.

– We conduct a reform that will lead to a more efficient use of taxpayers’ money and that will strengthen the rule of law by taxpayers. We live in a time where technology means that we are no longer as dependent on seeking tax offices, has Treasury Siv Jensen previously stated.
