How was the everyday body something embarrassing? – Aftenposten

– Today the everyday body become a taboo. But when we came with body series in 1981, I remember it as unproblematic to see naked people on TV. It says Trond-Viggo Torgersen (62), the man who taught us over 40 what is worth knowing about the body. Now there is a new TV doctor who guides children through the minor and major mysteries. Line Jansrud (29) is a presenter on NRK Newton.

Everyday body, the ordinary body, A4 variant that does not play on sex, makes many embarrassed.

She was not born when Torgersen overtaken television viewers with naked bodies. Now it is she who teach children about puberty and body and stuff on TV. She shares Torgersen perception: Everyday body, the ordinary body, A4 variant that does not play on sex, many embarrassed.

They have several of them. Residential words director created a debate with its taboo list Aftenposten recently. Natural nudity was one of the taboos of the list. Knut Olav Åmås: Ten Norwegian taboo themes

“This is not about showing off your body and skin. It’s society full of, not least in the media and advertising, in art and culture. I think of the fact that natural nudity has been … unnatural. In the locker room and shower at the gym and the swimming pool, in school locker. I speak for example about nudity that is not eroticized or sexualized, but which has a function (for example to be clean). It is a paradoxical contrast between all the nudity in the media and the fear of it in our ordinary lives. “

Newton will normalize body

Presenter Line Jansrud noted Åmås Norges Bank points and believe they are on the right path with the new puberty series in our displayed in Newton on BBC1. The target group of the program are those between 8 and 12 years.

Our hope is that we can help to make the everyday body more naturally to children.

– In the series we show that bodies are very different, because we believe will give children confidence. Our hope is that we can help to make the everyday body more naturally to children, says Line Jansrud.

On camera goes Jansrud bluntly. She draws milk glands and milk weighs on a tit, promises a penis – genuine copies, naturally. She uses squirt bottle to show what boy penis can. She adds hundreds of eggs on the floor to show what an ovary is rather theatrical blood in Volume to display Suction and cook cornstarch in water to obtain a liquid resembling real discharge.

– I believes it is important to be as directly, it helps to demystify the body. If we go detours, we say implicitly that the body is something embarrassing, something taboo. And another point – where do children get to see a real body in our days? says Jansrud.

La importance to various bodies

Naked bodies was no shortage when Trond-Viggo Torgersen made 13 episodes of body in 1981. He remembers especially a purchased scene that showed many, many naked people – from young children to young adults and old.

– We also did some nude recording itself and emphasized to show people with very different bodies. There were different shapes and colors, some were in puberty, others were well adults. We wanted to show ordinary bodies, says Torgersen, who recalls this as completely unproblematic that time. He wonders why it has been difficult to relate to ordinary nudity. Naked bodies we see more of than ever before, but often the sexualized, for example in advertising. Torgersen believes new technologies explains some of the confusion around what is normal.

– We have a completely different visual access. The Internet has created body ideals connected to pornography, which makes you look your own body in a new light, says Torgersen.

mobile phone has made all the photographers

The mobile phone has done us all photographers, but it is not always fun. Torgersen with its familiar face often find that someone will shoot him. And some do not even ask. As 12-year-old in the swimming pool which meant it had to be okay to take a picture of Torgersen celebrity friend – in the shower.

The risk of being depicted nude allows children might face own embarrassment in others’ pictures.

– That phone becomes a new eye. The risk of being depicted nude allows children might face his own embarrassment in others’ pictures. Showering in school must be established as a private area – it can be compared to being on the loo, says Torgersen.

At Oppsal school in Oslo experiencing nurse Nina Sandberg that children and adolescents gained an increasingly strained relationship with the body, and that the problem is increasing. She says that students have wanted gendered swimming lessons, but that the school has chosen to retain the traditional class display section.

– For many it is a big problem to have swimming or showering after gym class. They are uncomfortable with their bodies, they are struggling to show off to others, says Sandberg. She has been nurse for over 30 years, more than 10 of them on Oppsal and she believes children troubled relationship with nudity and own body can come from a strong desire to succeed in all areas.

– They must master school be popular, have the right clothes – and so it naturally look, she says. She believes social media reinforces the concerns of children.

– Is there anything they do not succeed, then spread it so quickly, there are so many who get to know about it.

Jansrud birth on TV

When Line Jansrud went to school, it was quite natural to shower naked together with the other girls in class. Now she register that bikini is not unusual in the shower at the gym, and she gets regularly hear stories from children’s school life where this has been a problem. With puberty TV series she will help to make nudity natural, and she do not save themselves. Jansrud who are pregnant, have allowed viewers get to be involved right from she took the pregnancy test and they are scheduled to be involved until the baby comes.

– Children deserve to see a birth. For a birth is that the body some of the most amazing – and most natural – on this earth.
