Brudeseth says that they will now evaluate the bids, ie control count and make a qualification assessment before making a final decision on the award of contract.

the contract will consist of two projects; avalanche project E136 Dølsteinfonna and Fantebrauta, and construction of a control station in Romsdalen.

This shall be done:

Fantebrauta – Build a 240 meter long soil tunnel in concrete. Against mountainside at each end of the tunnel will be built ramparts to the road with steep shock side of the mountains to maintain and possibly reduce the likelihood of falling rocks on the road. Hedging effect of Fantebrauta believed to be adequate against avalanches.

Dølsteinfonna – Dølsteinfonna is currently partially secured by a bank that is supposed to reduce air pressure from avalanches, as well as spotting any landslide masses. Vollen is approximately 4 meters higher than the road and 3-8m higher than the terrain in landslide page. New embankment will be built 6 meters higher than the ground and will come closer on the road and with higher embankment will cause the air pressure from the landslide moves higher up from the road. Hedging effect of Dølsteinfonna increased by the foundation extended, increased and moved closer to the road than today. In embankment contained ca. 3200 m² natural stone toward roadway side.

Control Station Romsdalen – Construction of the station is dependent on funding from the state budget for 2017. The control station should be at Marstein, ca. 16 km from Åndalsnes.

Here will be built a modern control station for large vehicles to replace the drive by Trollveggen-view on Horgheimseidet. The station will consist of office / terminal building and control hall with grave and weight. It will be adapted for the use of new technologies, such as programs for token scanner, weight sensors in the roadway, two-way video surveillance of the road before the control station and thermal imaging of brakes.
