David Vos, head of Google’s project Wing, said Monday that the company is in talks with the Federal Aviation Authority and other concerned to establish a control system for drones. The control system will use mobile and web technology to coordinate unmanned craft flying at a height of under 500 feet (152 meters).
– Our goal is to initiate a commercial business in 2017, he said at a conference on aviation control Washington.
Also Amazon has plans to deliver packages with drones, and have tested out a project they call Amazon Prime Air. Several other companies are looking at the possibility of using the unmanned vessels to fast delivery to its customers.
It is expected that the Federal Aviation Authority Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) will come with rules for commercial use of drones early next year.
