As in so many other countries, trying Japanese to find solutions on how to tackle the challenges associated with that population is becoming older.

Under Me-Byo medical technology trade show in Yokohama earlier this week showed exhibitors forward the latest gadgets that will help prevent illness and injuries among the nation’s elderly, Reuters reported.

Here they could attendance including demonstrations of a mobile app that will help doctors to diagnose patients over the telephone, a toilet that measures and analyzes the urine after each toilet visit and a robotic suit that will keep seniors on their feet and help them with heavier lifting.

So it remains to see if any of these gadgets in the future will be adopted by the elderly in Japan and other parts of the world.
