The nonprofit Mozilla, which is best known for the browser Mozilla Firefox, has long worked on developing the new mobile operating system Firefox OS. Now the plan to debut this year.

Launching in June in five countries
According to Gary Kovacs, CEO of Mozilla is scheduled to release first wave of Firefox OS already in June in five countries: Venezuela, Poland, Brazil, Portugal and Spain.
In several other countries, including Norway, we have to wait any longer. Firefox OS is in fact primarily aimed at simple and cheap mobile phones, and it is natural enough more desirable where a worker salaries less cover the primary needs and at the same time unemployment is high.
Telenor has a partnership with Mozilla, which means that they will start selling phones with Firefox OS in Serbia, Montenegro and Hungary in the second half. Asia comes later.
U.S. will get their first Firefox OS models in 2014, and it is likely that the same applies to Norway.
