So far Apple uses in research - Computerworld

Apple’s commitment to research and development has increased significantly in recent months. It appears in a letter filed with U.S. regulators this week. According to AppleInsider who discovered this information, expenditures increased by 33 percent this year alone.

The increased expenditure on research could mean that Apple is working on the “upcoming surprises” that Tim Cook discussed during a conference on Tuesday.

At this conference with investors, said Tim Cook that Apple is going to release several new product categories for the summer and throughout next year.

User increasingly on research and development

During the first quarter Apple spent $ 278 million on research and development. This is an increase of 33 percent compared with the same period last year.

The first six months of fiscal 2013, Apple’s expenditures on research and development increased by $ 530 million.

Apple continues this way it will use approx. one billion U.S. dollars more during the current fiscal year, and end up in a total of four billion U.S. dollars for the year. Last year, Apple spent $ 3.4 billion on research and development.
