Google Glass was a talking point even before the product was officially confirmed in April 2012, when a prototype was first shown off.

The interactive smart glasses have been suggested to be for sale in 2013, but this is certainly not it.

These are, however, strictly forbidden to give away or resell. Each unit is linked to a Google account. The Company reserves the right to disable the glasses for violations of the rules.

Explorer version may soon prove to be the final product. Schmidt says that they are considering changes based on test customer feedback.

Specifications
Recently revealed the search giant product’s technical specifications. The frame has a built in camera with support for video recording in 720p HD. It can also snap photos with five megapixel resolution.

Glass falls under a new category of portable electronics (“wearable computing”) that has recently received tremendous attention. The device has a small screen with a resolution of 640 x 360 pixels, which according to Google should equal a 25 inch HD screen viewed from a distance of 2.5 meters.

Synchronisation with Google’s cloud services allow for additional space. The device has sound transmitted to the ear through vibrations in the skull, with a technology called “bone conduction transducer.”
