Today starts selling premium mobile Samsung Galaxy S4 in Norway. Galaxy S4 is a mobile that will a lot and get a lot. Here are our first impressions.
Samsung has chosen the safe way with the Galaxy S4, the successor to toppmobileen Galaxy S II and Galaxy S III. Samsung Galaxy S4 is a visual twin of its predecessor Galaxy SIII, although the Galaxy S4 is actually slightly narrower and slightly thinner than its predecessor. This despite the fact that the screen size has increased from 4.8 to 5 inches. It is impressive and allows mobile is as manageable as its predecessor.
Side by side with the mobile phone which sell best in Norway, iPhone 5, Galaxy S4 looks like a giant. Whether consumers will prefer the giant screen of the Galaxy S4 or continue to buy the iPhone does it answer when Telenor and Netcom presents sales statistics for May.

That said, Galaxy S4 in no way look at it. In order to have a 5-inch screen phone seems incredibly compact. And with over 40 million units of Galaxy SIII is understandable that Samsung does not want to change too much of an obvious winning formula.

Powerful
While the look is relatively unchanged, then the insides of the Galaxy S4 been significantly upgraded compared to the Galaxy SIII.
Inside sits a quad-core processor at 1.9 GHz, 2 GB RAM and 16 GB of storage. The camera resolution has increased from 8 to 13 megapixels and the screen delivers Full HD resolution (1920 x 1080 pixels). In addition, mobile ready for 4G – which primarily means solid bandwidth of mobile browsing.
The preliminary performance tests we have done show that mobile kicking well basis and consistently scores high in all tests. How well it actually stands up against other top phones we shall come back to.
Features, Functions and Features
But it’s not sheer force that will primarily sell Galaxy S4. It’s features. The phone is packed with features. Some are useful, some are funny and some are innovative and creative, but perhaps not as useful in everyday use. We bring some of the highlights:
Dual Shot: A function that uses two cameras at once and films yourself while shooting environment. A smart feature we think many will appreciate.
Sound & Shot: An audio snapshot. Also a fun feature that may work for certain occasions.
Group Play: Pairing multiple phones together so that everyone is playing the same tune. This has not been tested, but the popularity of linked speakers Music Angel Friendz show that this can indeed be something special.
Air Gesture: Some commands can be performed by passing your hand over the phone. Funny, but it is usually more efficient to use your finger on the screen. Can be useful in some cases, such as when wearing gloves.
Smart Pause: EYE pause / start such a film. Funny, but our initial experiments show that it probably is faster to press the pause with your finger. It also works a few times to scroll down a web page, but first impression tells us that this is probably a feature we’re going to turn off.

Blazing: Nothing to say on network performance of the Samsung Galaxy S4. Here tested on an AC connection on the 5 GHz band.
menus are mostly clear and we appreciate that many of the features has been a slight explanation that explains a bit what that function does. For us to test new phones almost every week, so it’s a bit annoying that all the “bells and clocks” is turned on, so it beeps, rings, registrations, swosjer and swisjer in one set. These are sounds that can be turned off, but personally we’d like a little more quietly standard layouts.
operating system Android, as the Galaxy S4 is reached version 4.2.2, is in our opinion a more modern interface than iOS and more efficient than Windows Phone 8
Conclusion
There is much to suggest that Samsung has made another big seller with the Galaxy S4. At the same time, we believe enough for HTC, Sony and LG breathe a sigh of relief. We believe the difference in level between the various top phones this year is smaller than ever before.
Sony Xperia Z is a great mobile phone with large screen that is also waterproof. HTC One has a more iconic design and scores very well in tests. LG Optimus G is an affordable 4G mobile phone that also has a lot to offer. And no one knows whether and when Apple comes with a sequel to the iPhone 5 If there is an iPhone 5S or iPhone 6?
Samsung Galaxy S4 will still fight at the top of the sales statistics and it has a lot to offer. For many, it might be a bit too much of a good thing, for others Galaxy S4 could offer new discoveries in the future.
