“Project Tango” doing things you have not seen before.
Google has thrown himself into enough a wild project, this time called Project Tango . It all consists of an early prototype of a mobile phone, which uses the Xbox Kinect-like sensors to measure and discover everything that happens around you, writes Ars Technica.
According to technology manager for the project, Johnny Lee, they have a desire to give mobile phones a humanoid form of understanding of space and movement. By phone cram full of super advanced sensors.
Shall measure all

The preliminary prototype of Project Tango is an Android mobile with five-inch screen, equipped with two processors to work solely for calculating the data from the sensors. On the back sits a 4 megapixel camera, a depth sensor and a secondary camera for motion measurement.
Currently, Project Tango is a very closed project, and Google will only open its doors to 200 developers, provided they manage to ovebevise them that their ideas are good enough. Thus, roughly a while before we see some similar sensors in mobile phones soon.
can create maps of all
Project Tango, Google aims to “revolutionize” navigation and “augmented reality” (Augment Reality).
– Our current prototype is a 5-inch phone with custom hardware and software designed to record all movements of the device in three dimensions, while also creating a map of the surroundings, explains Lee.
Simply by combining the information from the sensors can create a 3D model of all that is around them. These 3D models can be used to create better navigation solutions, also for indoor use – as in a shopping mall.
Next week comes a wealth of new phones
