Beating the mobile network with gunshot - Northern Lights

Residents on the outer side of Senja was no mobile coverage over a day after damage to a fiber cable, reports People magazine.

According to Bjørn Amundsen, Director of Coverage at Telenor, some apparently shot to pieces cable with a shotgun. The damage occurred clock 13.43 Monday, said Amundsen.

– result 14 base stations out of service, he told People magazine.

Primarily, the telephone network is out of service. 433 broadband customers in Lenvik and 375 party network customers in Berg is also without power.

Shot damage was on Bonjord, just north of Leiknes on Lenvik mainland. Tuesday ettermidag shall, however, the damage have been rectified, writes People magazine.

Telenor now considering to report the case to the police.
