As usual LG first out of the store in a series of press conferences at CES in Las Vegas.
“It’s all possible,” is this year’s slogan of second-Korean artist who has screwed up their ambitions powerful and murmur against brother Samsung.
Probably well encouraged that they have taken market share in all segments of the U.S. market, they fire off a whole battery of cannon technology here in Las Vegas.

WebOS
Not unexpected is the new operating system WebOS middle.
LG bought it from HP that had tried to launch it in phones and tablets without success. LG think that’s what’s needed Televisions
– WebOS is the new platform in our TVs, and it will make smart TV a whole new experience. People find today’s smart TV is too complicated. WebOS should make it much easier and more powerful, said LG’s chief of 20,000 engineers, Scott Ahn.

TVs flood
It is of course TVs which is the engine of LG’s launch. And there is no lack of new models.
Firstly, there is a wealth of new models with Ultra HD resolution, or 4K as it is also commonly called. Of the 25 new TVs in eight different series to be launched, will have 12 UHD resolution.
One of them has the world’s largest curved screen with 105 inch resolution. And it has 21:9 form factor. That means it has no black bars when the show films in this format. Opplsøningen is 5120 x 2160 pixels.
All UHD models will be equipped with WebOS.
The smallest model with UHD is only 42 inches and then you sit reasonably close to see the pixels.
LG has equipped all the new models with HDMI 2, needed to connect external sources like Blu-ray, when UHD once is clear here, and they can decode the new H.265 (HEVC) needed to get source material in UHD down at an acceptable bitrate.
The new models have IPS monitors that are supposed to provide good image quality and should be seen without degradation from the sides.
Netflix CEO Reed Hastings was on hand to throw the splendor of the new UHD models and tell the Netflix app on the new TVs LG we support 4K. The next season of House of Cards will be streamed as known in UHD.

OLED
LG trumpeted that they now have a big lead in OLED TVs, and it might look like. This year it will benefit the entire five different OLED models with a 77-inch UHD model on top. It will probably be too expensive for most people and we suspect the others will have a price tag that stings.
Until now, OLED fell slightly after the UHD-front, but LG we rectify this. New models of 55 and 65 inches will come with the required eight mega pixels on the screen. They are just getting millimeters thick and have almost no frame.
LG also comes with a special OLED model with really large frame. The point is that it should be able to hang on the wall and look like a painting, and certainly get a price that a reasonably well-known artist could get for his work.
Smart Home
LG has big plans for the smart house.
launching a series of appliances that are connected to the network and can talk to an app via what they call Home Chat.
Now you can send a text message to the fridge and ask how many beers it, or to the washing machine and ask what it does, and when it becomes available.
LG goes so far as to call this a historic change, but we assume that the phrase was written by a marketing education.

Throwing in smart-clock train
Samsung has its Gear clock. Now comes LG with its Life Band.
This is not primarily a watch, but a training partner in the form of a bracelet with a touch-sensitive OLED screen. The course talking with mobile phone via Bluetooth. And you can control the music from the tape when exercising.
The new earphones, “heart rate earphone”, is also an innovation. They play music, but they also read the pulse of the user in the ear canal.
These are an end to strap on the transmitter.

In the throat of Sonos
It has surprised us how long Sonos has got to be alone on the market with its excellent solution. Now it is over, and LG’s probably just one of many that will launch similar products.
As Sonos, the two speakers LG announces start having WiFi in the form of a mesh. That is, they can send music to each other about the past is too far away coverage.
And that Sonos will LG have an app that can control the music and all sources.
Curved
Although the new curved phone G Flex already on the market in different countries, it was introduced in the U.S. here.
It has a 6 inch curved OLED HD screen and a ditto battery.
