night Norwegian time presented his project PrimeAir Amazon, where small drones will be used to deliver packages driverless through the air from distribution centers to each recipient (see video above).
In the United States anticipated that aviation authorities allows for commercial use of drones in 2015, and then think Amazon that they will be able to deliver packages to your door with drones.
In China, the SF Express already done experiments with packet delivery with drones. Similar to Amazon drones, they can only be loaded with the address, and then flies by itself at altitudes up to 100 meters.
staff can follow the journey with the camera, and adjust along the way. Also Domino Pizza’s pizza delivery drone has received considerable attention.
Norwegian debate
Åke Refsdal Moe Technology Council believes the time is ripe for a proper Norwegian debate about the use of drones to various social purposes.
– We see that the evolution of technology is moving faster than the debate in this area. Now is the time to discuss drones in a Norwegian context, and look at the opportunities and challenges drone technology can give us further, says Moe to TU.
He envisions postal traffic in rural areas as one of many possible uses for drones in Norway. But the challenges are many.

– We must assume that some drones dropped, especially now at the beginning. Then we look at what is an acceptable risk. In addition, we obviously privacy issues. Therefore, we must discuss who should be able to use the technology, and how regulation should be, says Åke Refsdal Moe.
He believes drones will contribute to important social functions in the coming years, as rescue services, construction work and thus distribution and monitoring.
Drone Network
– So far, many sets of drones as a purely monitoring tools. But really it’s just a support platform with a variety of applications. In the future, we envision the entire physical infrastructure, a permanent network of drones for various purposes. American Mattern is among those who work with such networks, says Åke Refsdal Moe.
Authorities are now working on new regulations for commercial use of drones in Norway.
– “Post’s Drone Service” is probably a bit ahead. But it is not the technology itself that says, says Åke Refsdal Moe.
