Do not be fooled into paying too much for Apple gadgets - Amobil.no

Apple launched as known this week new iPad is, and many will certainly try to get your hands on the new products as soon as they go on sale in Norway on 1 November.

Today, however, showed the new iPad Air models up to the first online shops. So when is the big question: If you order directly from Apple’s online store or from another store? Or should you wait to get the products in the store, nor buy iPad over the counter?

You might think that because of the competitive situation would be cheaper to buy Apple products from other than Apple – but our experience is that prices are generally lower in Apple’s own online store.

So much can you save

The only online store as of this writing, the iPad Air inside the dashboards to our Prisguide.no service, the Advance. A quick check on Apple.no show that these rates are not particularly good:

Apple product delivers free, while Advance takes 105 million in costs – making the price at Advance even worse.

owner and general manager of Advance.no, Stein Hjorth Andresen, tells by Amobil.no the prices they receive for Apple products from distributors, making it impossible to be competitive.

– distributors of Apple products often gives us prices that are almost identical to the prices Apple does in its own online store, says Andresen.

He believes Apple is largely controls the prices distributors have the opportunity to take, and thus it rarely pays to buy outside the Apple system. Therefore do not sell Advance particularly with Apple products.

– Most customers are very price conscious and they like to have Apple products also know about the Apple Store. We sell many more products including Samsung, says Andresen.

For other online stores

Currently only Advance.no which added up to tour the new iPad Air model (it is currently not in stock), thus we could not check how it is doing in other online stores.

However, we have seen a few other topical products, the regular iPad mini model with 32GB of storage and an iPhone 5S with 32 GB of memory. Here are the price differences:

always check prices before you buy

What about prices over the counter? Our experience is that these can vary widely. Always check prices several places.

But be aware that products that are not possible to book in Apple’s online store Norwegian yet may lack an Apple Store entry in the Price Guide.
