Work for charging stations at hotels and restaurants - Tvedestrandsposten

In a letter to the Ministry requesting Norwegian Hospitality Association and Norwegian EV Association requests that this be established a scheme for travel companies who want to offer guests the charging of electric vehicles.

– We see a growing demand for charging stations and thinks it’s natural to be able to charge the vehicle in connection with a meal, lodging or activities experience, says Kristin Krohn Devold, managing director of the Norwegian Hospitality Association.

– Today we travel companies, which type of accommodation is the same, but “hay” to the car’s electricity, says Krohn Devold.

The proposed scheme will benefit society by making it more attractive to choose electric cars as means of transportation, says the Norwegian Hospitality Association and the Norwegian Electric Vehicle Association. In addition, tourism businesses a possible competitive advantage by providing electricity to their guests.

– Travel companies account for a dedicated infrastructure around the whole of Norway, and charging stations for tourism businesses is an excellent idea, says Snorre Sletvold, Secretary General of the Norwegian Electric Vehicle Association. (© NPK)
