Since 2007, Apple has stuck to one phone for every new generation. The only difference between the phones have been storage. Never has there been a mini-version or a waterproof version.

But it was when Steve Jobs sat at the helm. It is now two years since Jobs passed away, and his strict control of product development is no longer visible. In return, the arch-minimalist style of chief designer Jony Ive come clear.

Design
Apple’s special. They do not compromise when it comes to design. At least not until now. Iphone 5c is basically an Iphone 5 in new packaging. Personally, I think it’s a bit rebellious character for Apple to release an iPhone with plastic covers in bright colors. But it’s probably mostly a matter of habit. They have always done the same with music players in the iPod family. But so far, I think Iphone 5c looks like “Iphone by Fisher Price” – a toy telephone.

Iphone 5c is very good in the hand, although it is slightly thicker and slightly heavier than its predecessor Iphone 5 It is not as sharp and hard edges, which is an advantage for ergonomics.

The original covers for Iphone 5c protects well but is also reale dust collectors. They are anything but smooth and will feed your pocket to distort if your phone is in your pocket. They also get the phone to look like a toy phone.

With Iphone 5c also released iOS 7, the latest version of Apple’s operating system software for mobile devices. It has been a radical change appearance with far more minimalist icons. No more depth and shadow effects, now it’s simple colors and flat expression that applies. For me this is to reinforce the impression of “Iphone by Fisher Price.” I think the new style is flat and minimalist.

That said, Iphone works as good as ever. Some things have gotten better too, as the new control center. This is a context menu you can drag up from the bottom of the screen at any time, as long as the keyboard is not active. Here you can easily turn on and off airplane mode, the wireless network, bluetooth, adjust volume and control Airplay to external devices. You can also start your flashlight and calculator and send photos and files to other phones. For Android users, this is old news, but for the embattled Apple users will mean far fewer finger pressure for frequently used functions.

The new graphic design pervades all of Apple’s own apps and services. Most work as before, but some look very different, and have generally been more minimalist.

Multimedia
Iphone 5c has the same camera as the iPhone 5 Picture quality is thus very similar, but sometimes the pictures come out a little different. This is caused by processing in the camera software. Performance 5	battery runs out faster than previous iPhone models, but still lasts a few days. There is little wait for apps and phone functions and develops little heat, even when it is put to the test.
price 3	4890 respectively. Expensive for something that is not a top model. For 1000 extra you also get Iphone 5s who are in a completely different league performance and functionality.
use 4	IOS 7, Apple has become more user friendly, but far from all enjoy the new look. Iphone is easy to use, but no longer has the best user-friendliness on the market.
