First with Apple concept click - Computerworld

Apple reinvents the concept of “shop-in-shop, where a mini-version of the Apple Store merged into other stores. The first of the new Apple’s shop-in-shop is Elkjøp Megastore on Loerenskog outside Oslo. Doors open at 10:00 am on Tuesday 22 October.

– We at Elkjøp are very proud to be the first in the world that will showcase Apple’s new retail concept, and this is obviously incredibly fun for us. We look forward to showing our customers Apple products in a new and more exciting way, says Andreas Niss, President of Elkjøp Norway.

Apple’s new concept is going to appear more open and lighter than its predecessor, and it has also devoted iPad and Apple TV more space than before, said Elkjøp. Customers will also have more opportunities to try out the different products themselves.

It is no coincidence that the newly refurbished Apple Concept debuts at Elkjøp Megastore on Loerenskog outside Oslo. The store house namely Northern Europe’s first “Apple Shop-in-shop” concept when it launched in 2008.

– I think it’s completely raw that we get to be so early and this was kjempekry when I heard that we are the first in the world with the new concept. The new Shop-in-Shop solution is going to be even better for our customers, who can now frolic in a fresh and expanded Apple department, says Kristian Pedersen, warehouse manager at Elkjøp Megastore on Loerenskog.

Apple currently has a total of 15 shop-in-shop at Elkjøp Group in Norway, including the northernmost located in Tromsø.
