Two floors, many levels
You can be a little confused by looking at architect Yuusuke Karasawa called S House. For although the house itself has a transparent facade and the almost non existent walls in your home, then it is not immediately clear what’s what when it comes to rooms, floors and stairs. Here it is important to keep the tongue straight into her mouth.
– We got the idea for the design of the house when we saw the plot and spoke with the owners, explains architect Yuusuke Karasawa with Yuusuke Karasawa Architects to click Residential.
– We wanted to create a home that was a reflection of the technological and information ruled the world we live in, and a picture of the increasingly complex information networks we use in everyday life.

The architect hopes to inspire others with this building method and divide homes on.
– It is in many ways a new way to define how to live and work in, explaining Karasawa.
– Our homes need not be divided as it has so long seen, but one can imagine new compared to room-division and use of zones and how to move around the house. Maybe it will inspire new ways of being together, and other ways to engage in activities in the home on.

Complex “maze”
Karasawa explains to design site Designboom that he believes that the busy lives many of us live today requires that homes have both diversity, but also a strict order and structure.
– You can start looking at their homes as a network, explains the architect.
– Layers of rooms and zones, all emanating from a central source.

S House, located in the town of Saitama, a busy commuter on the outskirts of Tokyo, built at many levels extending from the middle of the house. At first glance it looks as if the “plates” are merely stacked, but upon closer inspection is enough structure more complex than that.
– It’s a pretty intricate pattern of levels that spins upward from the base of the house and toward the ceiling, explaining Website Design Boom.
– The air is circulated with ease from the entrance down and poured out onto the roof terrace, while random “gaps” in some of the levels do that by moving through house constantly coming across new ways to use it or to get from one place to another on.
The complicated structure is not only complicated levels, but also in the interior and how the rooms meet.
– Although it may seem as if you can manage to get from one place to another visually, so it is not certain that this is the case, and it may have to move through many other levels to get where you want.

“Reality” house
It is not just the unique division inside the house that makes S House so special, but also largely to the fact that the whole house facade – all four exterior walls – are glass .
This was a thoughtful grip from the architectural side.
– The Information Society enables us to both quickly see what everyone else is doing and also showcase what we ourselves do, explains Karasawa.
– Why not stay in such a way that others can fully see what you are doing at any given time?
There are few walls in the residence but in the house first floor has created space for completely private room as the toilet and bedroom.
– These volumes are enclosed, explains the architect.
– Whether fully or partially.

Stairs instead of times
In most houses there are times or passageways binds parts of the house or room together. IS House is stairs that make this job.
– There are more than a dozen stairs in this house, explains the website Deze about the unique service.
– In this way, one given that two floors seems much larger and more distributed than it actually is.

In fact, the house plot no larger than 50 m2. Yet I have got to create a house with more than enough room and space to vast family members.
– The fact that one does not need to make room for walls and doors have a lot to say, explaining Karasawa.
– What we have achieved is to create a series of rooms that are similar in size, but are linked by stairs and not other rooms or corridors.
This also means that in some “floors” are two rooms at no point meet, but which one will have to move either up or down to get between.
– This is what it’s exciting to use this house, explains the architect.
– You must find their way to move through the property on.

How is the rooms distributed
Through the white door in the house submerged ground floor there comes a oppholdrom. There is also a dining room on this floor, but you can not get it directly from the entrance, but must go through the kitchen on a mezzanine above or living room to get here.
– The house master bedroom, a bathroom and a storeroom are also located on this floor as they have sunk almost two meters below the ground, explains Site Design Boom.
– Further up the floors are several bedrooms, a guest room, a home office and two – rather hidden – roof terraces.
