This week was Labour’s media policy choice agreed on a new media policy for television and public broadcasting.

– Everything indicates that NRK license still has broad public acceptance. But even if it works well in today’s media landscape, we must face up to the technological developments challenge the license in the future, says Grande, head Aps media political committees in Parliament.

The biggest challenge is the prevalence of smartphones and tablets, which is about to revolutionize Norwegians TV habits. But mobiles and tablets have not been imposed on the broadcasting fee, although formally NRK has had the opportunity. According NRK annual report for 2013 yesterday canal probably missed until half a billion dollars a year because Norwegians have tv, but still do not pay a license.

– A new financing NRK must ensure public broadcaster’s independence. Meanwhile it must be robust and perceived as fair, says Arild Grande.

A household fee will Aps vision function better because you can get into far more license payers.

– By changing tax to apply to households instead of televisions can avoid that the license will increase in coming years, says Grande.
