US opens investigation intrusion against Sony – ABC News

US Security believes data burglaries against film company Sony represents a national security threat and therefore begins investigation of the incident.

– The President sees this as a serious national security threat, says the spokesperson Josh Earnest in the White House, stressing that any advanced technology must be behind the attack.

Earnest states in addition that the attack against Sony Pictures is referred to as a serious national security threat. It is too early to determine that it is North Korea that is behind the attack.



– Severe threat

Earlier Thursday wrote however several media that US investigators have determined that North Korea stood behind datainnbruddet against Sony’s movie studio. US investigation concludes that the government in Pyongyang is responsible for data attack, said a US government source told Reuters.

The film, which is a actionkomedie with Seth Rogen and James Franco in the lead roles, is about a talk show host who hailed by CIA to kill North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.

Cancelling premiere

Sony has chosen to cancel the planned premiere 1. Christmas Day, because a number of cinemas would not show the movie threats from hacker group Guardians of Peace (GOP).

The hackers wrote that the film’s audience will be faced with “a bitter fate,” and said the terrorist attack against the United States on 11 September 2001.

– We have not seen any credible evidence that there is any serious threat of any terrorist attacks against cinemas showing the current movie, but we are vigilant, President Barack Obama told ABC News on Wednesday.

Norway awaiting

“The Interview” was erected with Norwegian premiere on January 23. After the film company Sony canceling 1. Christmas Day premiere at home in the US is also the film pulled in Norway and Sweden.

Senior Vice President Jean Guerin in Sony Pictures writes in an email to VG that it means that the film nor will be shown in Norwegian cinemas.

– Sony Pictures has no further release plans for the film, she writes.

The Swedish distributor confirms to the Swedish Aftonbladet that the premiere where canceled.
