Figures crushers in the Morgan Stanley believes Telenor base stations in Myanmar will cost six billion.
Telenor has not wanted to say something about the huge investments required in Myanmar after the company was awarded two licenses in the country.
CEO Jon Fredrik Baksaas said to Reuters, however, that it expected to put up about 10,000 base stations.
According to Reuters estimates brokerage firm Morgan Stanley that it would be an investment of around one billion dollars, equivalent to 6.05 billion.
Morgan Stanley believes Myanmar poses a significant potential for growth for telecom companies that won licenses, despite the current low mobile penetration and very low GDP per capita.
