Instagram into the video age - Dagbladet.no

(Dagbladet): Instagram launched in October 2010, and in two and a half years Instagram has grown tremendously. The digital photo sharing service has 100 million active users and 40 million photos are uploaded daily.

In April 2012, Instagram acquired by Facebook for $ 1 billion, and now has Facebook and Instagram come with a new update for the popular app.

New Service

- Today we can, with pleasure, introduce video on Instagram. It will give you a new way to share your stories, says Kevin Systrom, one of Instagram-founders, at their website.

There was a time when you took your camera when you went to new places. You took a picture, got it evoked and put it in your photo album.

The moment the images were digitized, and rolls of film were part of the past, joined one, in large part, to have induced images. There was however one aspect of photography that was gone.

ability to share and view photos, disappeared. About photos you took were captured in a folder on the computer, who could see, laugh, and cry moment you captured?

Instagram filled this need and made it more accessible than album ever could.

You have control

- You have control over your videos just like your photos. Only those you allow access to your pictures is access. And as these pictures, you own your videos, write Systrom.

The new feature will let you take a 15 seconds long video clip, and is available on systems with iOS and Android.
