nation’s schoolchildren have delivered his last lesson of the year and across the country look small and large to a summer full of adventures. But what is it exactly that unleashes holiday feeling?
Just this, a survey conducted by Nikon Mindlab International dealt with.

2,000 participants, including 500 Norwegians were asked to answer a series of questions relating to holidays, expectations and images, and the answers show a clear trend: We love vacation photos.
Of all the pictures taken during the year, answering over 50 percent of Norwegians that it is precisely summer pictures they like best to look at. In second place, with 25 percent, following pictures from birthdays and special occasions.
When asked why they preferred these pictures, said nearly 65 percent of the participants that it was because the images aroused great memories. 1 of 5 gave the reason to be that the pictures made them look forward to the next holiday.

When asked if they looked forward to seeing the pictures from your vacation, admitted a quarter of respondents said that they like to spend your vacation to cheer them up on a bad day, while about 50 percent looked forward to print the images and get them into albums.
But there are many who allow themselves to disappoint the output of holiday snaps. The majority of these state that it is the poor quality of the pictures, taken with mobile phone, which is the reason for the disappointment. Others were unhappy that they were not big enough zoom to get close enough to your subject.
Presumably it should be a reminder to future holiday makers to remember to bring a dedicated camera – and once they’re in shooting mode, move closer to the subject.

A trip in the laboratory

In addition to the survey, let 20 people who had the year’s vacation plans nailed to investigate in the laboratory to MindLab International.
Test rabbits were hooked up to equipment that monitored the so-called galvanic skin to skin as well as the pulse of the viewers. Both provide an indication as to test the person’s emotional response – and are used for example also in lie detectors.
Each of the participants were also asked a series of questions about their own thoughts about what triggered holiday feeling.

Although participants reported that they experienced the greatest reaction when they saw pictures of the local food at the holiday destination, but it was the smell of sunscreen that triggered the highest physical reactions.
Pictures of various holiday activities, however triggered a reaction from the body and head with the subjects – a greater reaction than from pictures of food and the resort in general.
In other words, was not the conscious and the unconscious completely coherent with the holiday longing participants, and it was only when they were stimulated to daydream about what they would do in the holiday that both body and mind were engaged.
